Electrochemical biosensors for rapid diagnosis of bacterial infections: Design, targets and applications in clinical setting

Abstract In clinical settings, quickly identifying and detecting bacterial infections is crucial. Current methods for measuring these diseases take a long time are frequently expensive. Hence, biosensor systems may be viable alternative to conventional systems. Electrochemical based on different materials have great potential developing rapid detect pathogens in many areas. They cheaper reliable, relatively fast response time, provide better stability sensitivity. This review article assesses the recent advancements of electrochemical biosensors monitoring/detecting samples. After mentioning standard techniques various microorganisms, introduced biosensor‘s fundamental conceptualization its varieties, functioning principles, advantages. Then it discussed applicability employed analysis. It reviewed DNA, RNA protein‐based as direct pathogen analysis underlined metabolite‐based indirect systems, new trend microbiology life sciences, with their infectious diseases.
